About Leh Ladakh

Ladakh region is located in Jammu & Kashmir region & situated in North most area of India. Day 1: Arrive New Delhi (India)

World’s Highest Ride—Leh & Ladakhs

Arrive New Delhi airport & our representative will give warm welcome to you with garland & a bottle of water. We recommend arriving in the morning time so that you can visit historical monuments in New Delhi & Old Delhi. Our representative will help you for smooth check in. Have hot shower, later in the afternoon we visit Humayun’s Tomb- is the finest example of the Mughal architecture & structure is little similar to Taj Mahal. It is a combination of marbles & red stones. It was built in the 15th century & we can see beautiful gardens & lawns. There are many graves of the Mughal rulers.

Qutab Minar-is 74 meters long tower of victory & it was built in the end of 11th century. 3 stories added in the 12th century. Tower was built by red stone bricks & there is much calligraphy on the wall of tower. Place is quite interesting & worth to see.

Red Fort- This monument has highest importance in the Indian history from past to present. Every year Indian Prime Minister salutes the national flag at Red fort & delivers his/her speech to the nation. A must visit monument.

Day 2: New Delhi to Manali (550 Km)

After early breakfast you will be transferred to Delhi airport to catch flight to Kullu airport. We have only one ATR plane for this airport & sometime we have cancelled flight due to mainly weather so be ready to board the train for Chandigarh & then taxi upto Manali. If we have cancelled flight then you have to travel a long day journey otherwise you reach Manali in few hours.

Arrive Manali & check into the hotel later first time you will be introduced our Legendary Royal Enfield 500 bullet. Get some necessary instructions from our expert team leader about motorcycle & road in the Himalayas. Later we have short ride around Manali so that you become more familiar with motorcycle & mountainous road. Above programme exists only if we get flight for Kullu airport otherwise we reach Manali late in the evening.

Day 3: Manali to Jispa via Rohtang pass (140 Km Ride)

World’s Highest Ride—Leh & Ladakhs

After breakfast we start our riding towards Jispa, a small village near Bhaga River. Today we ride over our first pass called as Rohtang pass at 3900 Meters. This pass is considered very strange pass in terms of diverse weather conditions. It is major attraction for domestic tourist specially for snow. After passing this pass we enter Spiti valley & vegetation get lesser. We stop few times for the photos & tea/coffee breaks. Arrive in Jispa & check into the hotel. Evening free for short walk in the village & spend some time near River. Enjoy evening party with us with bonfire.

Day 4: Jispa to Tso Kar Lake (many passes, water crossings & Gata loops)(230 Km Ride)

After breakfast we start our most exciting ride towards high altitude lake in Tso Kar. Today we have long ride with many highest passes, ice-cold water crossings, spectacular scenery, lots of switchbacks & 30 km straight road on 4300 meter. On the way to lake, we stops few times for photos & tea/coffee breaks in local tea stalls on the road side. We will ride some of the best part of this trip. Arrive at camp & check into the camp. Later have drinks with bonfire in the camp.

Day 5: Tso Kar Lake to Leh via 2nd highest pass (160 Km Ride)

After breakfast in the camp we start our riding towards Leh city (Capital of Ladakh region) & we cross second highest pass at 17582 feet where you have spectacular glimpse of the Himalayan peaks. First we ride few km off road then we reach on Manali-Leh highway. Road conditions are much better & after the pass we get mostly paved road but lots of switchbacks. Ride carefully after pass because of sharp curves. Arrive in Leh & check into the hotel & have hot shower after spending night in the camp at 4300 meter. In the evening we have dinner in the local restaurant with drinks.

After breakfast we have sightseeing ride around Leh city where we visit some of the famous monasteries on motorcycles. First we visit Thikse Monastery, Hemis Monastery, Royal Palace & in the last we visit Spituk monastery. If time permits we will visit Shanti Gompa to see spectacular view of the Leh city. These sightseeing are much more worth & you become more familiar with Royal Enfield & mountain road. Back to the hotel & have shower. Later we have option for dine out in Local restaurant with chilled beers.

Day 6: Leh sightseeing tour (Approx. 100 Km Ride)

After breakfast we have sightseeing ride around Leh city where we visit some of the famous monasteries on motorcycles. First we visit Thikse Monastery, Hemis Monastery, Royal Palace & in the last we visit Spituk monastery. If time permits we will visit Shanti Gompa to see spectacular view of the Leh city. These sightseeing are much more worth & you become more familiar with Royal Enfield & mountain road. Back to the hotel & have shower. Later we have option for dine out in Local restaurant with chilled beers.

Day 7: Leh to World’s highest road & Back to Leh (80 Km Ride)

After breakfast, small briefing about today’s ride from our expert road captain. Your dream comes true to conquer highest ride at 18380 feet (World’s Highest Road). Pass is 40 km from Leh city & almost half road is paved road & half is dirt road with small stone on the road. We reach on the highest pass & we take our time to capture photos of the pass with your motorcycle. We will take group picture as well. Later we take black coffee at highest pass. After having rest we continue our ride back to Leh. On arrival in Leh enjoy lunch in the restaurant. Evening free to explore Leh market by your own.

Day 8: Leh to Lamayuru via Likir Monastery (110 Km Ride)

Today we have our best ride if you are concerned about road condition & we also have some sightseeing on the way to our destination. So after breakfast we start our riding on Leh-Srinagar highway. Road is in good condition & road is paved with many spectacular slopes on the way. We ride along with Indus river & stop on the way for tea/coffee break. First we visit Basgo monastery & later we visit famous Likir monastery where you will see sitting Buddha in the monastery. Later we continue to Lamayuru. Arrive in Lamayuru & check into the guest house. Later visit monastery by walk & spend quality time there. Dinner in the guest house with bonfire.

Day 9: Lamayuru to Leh via Alchi Monastery (120 Km Ride)

After breakfast we start our riding for leh on the same route because there is no other road for Leh from Lamayuru. First we have our stop for tea/coffee break later we stop for Alchi monastery. Alchi monastery is quite old & it’s worth to visit where you see small open market for souvenirs mainly Buddhism related crafts. Good place to select something for your beloved. Later ride towards Leh. Arrive to hotel & have hot shower.

Day 10: Leh to Tso Moriri Lake (Chumtang Area) (220 Km Ride)

After breakfast in the hotel we start our riding for another spectacular high altitude wetland area close to Tso Moriri Lake. This ride is amazing through Chumatang area. Most of the road leads through Indus River & we ride along with Indus River. En route visit many Himalayan villages & we stop on the way for tea/coffee break. We will enjoy our packed lunch close to a small lake before our destination for night stay. Later ride towards high altitude Lake Tso Moriri Lake. Last 20-25 km is off road with many slopes, surely off riders will love this small trail to lake. Lots of opportunity for photos. Arrive to camp & check into the camp. Later walk to lake.

Day 11: Tso Moriri Lake to Sarchu (230 Km Ride)

After breakfast we start our riding towards Sarchu. First we ride 40 km on the same route & then we take turn for Tso Kar Lake & later we come on the Leh-Manali highway same route as we taken for Tso Kar Lake. Today we have few km off road so riders enjoy different mode of adventure on legendary Royal Enfield Motorcycle. We pass more plains & later some passes like Nukeela pass, Lachungla pass, Gata Loops after pass. Arrive at Sarchu camps & check into the camp. Dinner at camp. Site is amazing as there are no permanent constructions. Camps are fixed only seasonably.

Day 12: Sarchu to Manali via Rohtang pass (230 Km Ride)

After breakfast at camp we start our motorcycle & ride for our starting destination Manali. We have to repeat same route because there is no other option. We cross Rohtang pass & stop few times on the way to Manali for tea/coffee breaks. We have our lunch on the way to Manali. Arrive in Manali & check into the hotel & have hot shower after long ride. Evening we have our dinner in the restaurant with bonfire & lots of beers.

Day 13: Manali local tour & farewell Dinner

Today we have relaxed day & we have option to ride around Manali or if some decide to rest after Himalayan ride can do so. In the evening we have our farewell Dinner party in some good place. It is good idea to dress like locally & we will provide Himachali cap. Our farewell party includes Dinner, Music & drinks. We return back to our hotel around 10 PM so that you can get up little early.

Day 14: Manali to Delhi (280 Km Drive & 4 Hrs Train)

Today after breakfast first we take taxi to the Kalka railway station & later we catch our train to New Delhi. Arrive New Delhi around 10 PM & check into the hotel & have good sleep after long day journey to New Delhi.

Day 15: Departure to Home

Our adventure of lifetime comes to an end with transfer day. We hope everybody has lots of photos & videos to share with your family & friends for your life changing adventure in mighty Himalayas. You will be transferred to New Delhi International airport as per your flight timing.

Travel Documents

To visit India, you need Indian VISA, travel insurance & international driving license for motorcycle touring. You can get VISA for India by submitting your passport & other supporting documents in Indian Embassy or consulate or you can also get VISA online but for the validity for 1 month only. More informatio0n is given in FAQ section.


As we do 6 motorcycle tours in India, 4 tours in Himalayan region, 1 in South India & 1 in Rajasthan. These 3 regions have different temperatures according to months you visit. So we will forward more details regarding climate conditions in particular months when you contact us regarding your packing list & riding gear.

Required Money

You required only INR 20000-INR 30000 if you don’t do shopping for your extra expenses like food & other expense for personal use. You can change your money in New Delhi or on the tour as well but if you are looking for best exchange rate then Delhi is the right place to change money.

Your Fitness

Your fitness is very important for the Himalayan tour especially where riding on high altitudes require a good fitness. Other tour like in South India & Rajasthan require a minimum fitness & if you can climb stairs in your home then you can choose tours in South India & Rajasthan with Outback moto Rides.
